Cafe Assistant – Mini Town

Mini Town is looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our team for an immediate start.
This is a varied role where you’ll be helping to deliver excellent customer service in our busy cafés while supporting the day-to-day running of the business and ensuring our children’s role play areas are clean, safe and ready for every session.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks and light refreshments.
- Providing excellent customer service to all visitors.
- Operating the till and handling payments.
- Keeping the café clean, tidy and well-stocked.
- Resetting and tidying the children’s role play areas after each session to ensure they are clean, safe and ready for the next customers.
- Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
- Opening and closing the café, including completing all opening and end-of-day procedures.
- Supporting the team with general café duties as required.
Essential requirements:
- Applicants must be aged 18 or over.
- A full, valid UK driving licence is essential, as you will be required to work across our Mini Town locations in Waterlooville and Locks Heath.
- Weekend availability is essential.
- Flexibility to cover staff holidays and sickness.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for opening and closing the café.
- A positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Previous café or customer service experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
