Dental Receptionist
About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, organised and professional Dental Receptionist to join our busy and growing practice. You will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing an exceptional customer experience while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the reception.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients warmly and provide a positive first impression.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to email enquiries professionally.
- Book, amend and manage patient appointments.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice software.
- Process payments and issue receipts.
- Manage daily appointment schedules to maximise surgery utilisation.
- Confirm appointments and help reduce failed appointments.
- Liaise with dentists, therapists, nurses and the wider team.
- Handle patient enquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Assist with NHS and private patient administration.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR and practice policies.
- Keep the reception area clean, organised and welcoming.
Essential Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Confident using computers and learning new software.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well under pressure.
- High attention to detail.
Desirable
- Previous dental reception experience.
- Experience using SOE Exact or other dental practice management software.
- Knowledge of NHS dental systems and private treatment plans.
- Customer service or healthcare reception experience.
