Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality, nutritious meals in accordance with agreed menus and residents' dietary requirements.
- Plan and maintain varied menu cycles that offer choice while working within agreed budgets.
- Order food supplies and manage stock levels efficiently to minimise waste.
- Ensure the kitchen operates in compliance with food hygiene legislation and Health & Safety regulations.
- Supervise and support kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food preparation and service.
- Cater for special dietary, cultural, and medical requirements.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure meals are consistently delivered to a high standard.
- Work closely with the Home Manager and care team to meet residents' nutritional needs.
- Report any catering-related concerns or maintenance issues promptly.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef, Cook, or Head Chef.
- Experience working within a care home or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP, and health & safety regulations.
- Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above).
- Ability to plan menus and manage catering budgets.
- Experience catering for specialist dietary requirements.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
