Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to lead our Kitchen Brigade in delivering a High Standard of Food Offerings within our Private Members Golf Club. The ideal candidate will possess a "Can do attitude" as well as Strong Flexible Approach to the Golf Clubs Business needs, strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a commitment to food safety and quality standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an already established Head Chef OR an Ambitious Sous Chef wanting to take the next step in their career path. To oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, from menu development to staff management, ensuring the highest standards of service and cuisine are maintained.
Working Alternate Weekends to help with a Work, Home Life Balance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
- Oversee food production, ensuring dishes are served to high standards with Full Autonomy within the Kitchen.
- Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences
- Manage food preparation processes, maintaining consistency and efficiency across all dishes
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Monitor stock levels, minimise waste, and control costs effectively
- Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to promote professional development and teamwork
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment in accordance with health regulations
Experience
- Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment, ideally in a Golf Club Enviroment (not essential) or hospitality setting.
- Extensive food production and preparation skills across diverse cuisines
- Strong team management capabilities with demonstrated leadership qualities
- Solid background in food safety practices and regulatory compliance
- Experience in menu planning, cooking, and food presentation at a professional level
- Familiarity with Golf Club operations, serving procedures, and customer service standards
- Previous kitchen experience in a supervisory role is essential for success in this position

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
