We are looking for a proactive and approachable candidate to join our small and supportive IT team at Tolchards.
As a first point of contact for day-to-day IT support, you will play an important role in helping colleagues across the business with a wide range of IT issues. From supporting hardware and software to assisting with systems and user access no two days will be the same.
You will need to be organised, practical and confident in troubleshooting problems, with a positive and helpful approach to supporting colleagues. As the role may involve access to confidential and sensitive business information, a high level of discretion and professionalism is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing frontline support for day-to-day IT issues and queries
Troubleshooting hardware, software and system issues
Supporting users with access, accounts and IT equipment
Assisting with the monitoring and maintenance of CCTV systems and coverage
Escalating more complex issues to other members of the IT team where appropriate
Working closely with colleagues to maintain reliable and effective IT systems
Keeping accurate records of IT issues, requests and resolutions
Supporting wider IT projects and improvements across the business
Essential
· Experience providing IT support in a business environment.
· Good working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365.
· Understanding of basic networking concepts.
· Good working knowledge of MSSQL
· Experience troubleshooting computers, printers, mobile devices and peripherals.
· Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to take ownership of issues.
· Good written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
· Organised and able to manage competing support priorities.
Desirable
· Experience with Entra ID, Intune, Active Directory or Microsoft 365 administration.
· Exposure to Windows Server, networking/Wi-Fi, UniFi and VMware.
· Experience supporting ERP/business systems, Power BI or mobile device management.
· Experience in distribution, logistics, warehousing or another operational business.
