Responsibilities
- Handle materials with care, ensuring safe and accurate movement throughout the warehouse
- Operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment safely to load, unload, and transport goods
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, verifying inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update records, and manage stock movements
- Pick and pack orders efficiently to meet customer deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Stock shelves accurately, ensuring proper organization for easy access and inventory control
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing items to ensure compliance with specifications
- Perform heavy lifting safely when handling bulky or heavy items as part of daily tasks
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or similar environment with a focus on materials handling
- Mechanical knowledge for operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery confidently
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures and best practices
- Ability to perform picking & packing tasks accurately under time constraints
- Experience in stocking, organizing, and maintaining a tidy warehouse space
- Knowledge of quality control processes to ensure product integrity during handling
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and load/unload activities in a safe manner
- Excellent attention to detail combined with proactive problem-solving skills
