MMB has been named a capital delivery partner on two multi-million-pound ‘lots’ that will see the company deliver projects across the region through to 2030 - with the potential for a five-year extension into AMP9 thereafter.
Wessex Water serves 2.9 million customers with water and sewerage services across the southwest of England. Set for record investment in AMP8 – more than double that of AMP7 – MMB will bring its strong track record of innovation and direct-delivery to drive a programme of work to improve water and wastewater treatment, water and wastewater networks, storm overflows, flooding resilience, and bioresources.
With sites located across the South of the region including; Poole, Dorset and Bournemouth.
Engineering is at the very core of what we do. Be it civil, mechanical or electrical, our engineers are based on site and play a practical, hands-on role in the successful delivery of projects.
The role of a Senior Commissioning Engineer includes:

Manage contractors and technical delivery across instrumentation, industrial networks, LVDBs/MCCs, PLCs and SCADA installations

Lead process commissioning activities, including developing commissioning plans and integrating design, construction and commissioning

Support pre‑construction through surveys, scoping and compliance, and oversee outage planning, maintenance requirements, SSOW and RAMS
-
Drive QA through ITPs, acceptance documents, training materials and completion documentation, while managing “As Constructed” commissioning records

Deliver functional commissioning of electrical assets and instrumentation, perform sampling and lab analysis, and maintain regulatory outputs

Lead and mentor Process Commissioning Engineers, chair commissioning/outage meetings and build strong client relationships
What you’ll need:
-
CSCS and SSSTS
-
HNC/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering (or equivalent experience)
-
Working toward professional registration
-
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and MEICA construction
-
Good knowledge of process instrumentation, P&IDs, and relevant UK/international standards (including Regulatory, Client and WIMES)
-
Excellent organisational, problem‑solving and communication skills
-
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the region
What would be desirable:
-
Prior experience working with pumps, pipework, valves, screens, scrapers, mixers, blowers would be beneficial
