Lux Building Contractors Ltd is expanding following the award of a new contract delivering responsive repairs, voids, disrepair works, minor works and planned maintenance for a leading national contractor.
We are looking to recruit reliable and experienced Multi Skilled Operatives from a range of construction trades to join our growing team.
We welcome applications from operatives with experience in one or more of the following:
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Kitchen fitting
- Bathroom fitting
- Painting and decorating
- Plastering
- Tiling
- Flooring and carpet fitting
- Roofing
- General multi-trade maintenance
The successful applicants will carry out repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works to residential properties, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Duties
- Carry out responsive repairs, disrepair works, void property refurbishments and minor works.
- Complete work in occupied and unoccupied residential properties.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs within your trade or multi-trade skill set.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service.
- Complete job records and communicate effectively with management.
- Comply with all health and safety requirements and company procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Experience within your trade or as a multi-skilled operative.
- Blue Skilled Worker CSCS Card as a minimum.
- Relevant trade qualifications, including NVQs or equivalent where applicable.
- Relevant ECS card for electricians or other industry accreditation where required.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work professionally in occupied residential properties.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- Experience working on local authority or housing association contracts.
- Experience with responsive repairs, voids, disrepair and planned maintenance.
- Asbestos Awareness.
- Manual Handling.
- Working at Height.
- First Aid (desirable).
