Sheriffmill Motor Company is a busy and well-established independent motor business, providing vehicle servicing, repairs, parts supply, and customer support to both private and commercial customers. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a motivated and organised individual to join our team as a Parts Advisor / General Administrator.
The Role
This is a varied position combining parts department responsibilities with general administrative duties. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the business while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Parts Advisor Duties
- Identifying, sourcing and ordering vehicle parts.
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain pricing and availability.
- Managing parts stock levels and stock control procedures.
- Receiving and checking deliveries.
- Processing invoices and maintaining accurate parts records.
- Supporting workshop staff with parts requirements.
General Administration Duties
- Answering telephone and email enquiries professionally.
- Booking customer appointments and managing workshop schedules.
- Preparing quotations, invoices and customer documentation.
- Maintaining accurate records and filing systems.
- Assisting with general office administration tasks.
- Supporting management with ad hoc administrative duties.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Is computer literate and confident using Microsoft Office applications.
- Has a strong attention to detail.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Is reliable, professional and customer-focused.
- Previous motor trade, parts advisory or administrative experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as training can be provided.

Working hours 8.00am - 5.00pm Monday - Friday, Saturday 8.00am - 12.00pm on a rota basis
