Job Title: Porter/Caretaker

Salary: £6240 Annually
About this Role:
We are looking for a Site Caretaker/Porter to support the exciting Wye College Campus residential development based in Wye.
Wye College Collection is overlooked by the famous Wye Crown, cut into the chalk to commemorate the coronation of Edward VII in 1902. The college buildings have been in existence for more than 500 years. Wye College Collection is a combination of restoration and repurposing with new build additions, creating 50 residential units. The development is a mixture of grade I and II , as well as adjacent new build units. 38 residential units exist within the original campus buildings, in a combination of houses and apartments in a range of sizes.
Main Duties and Objectives:

Litter Pick all areas.

Car park - clear leaves and cobwebs from under croft and exterior car park.

Clean Louvres, gates doors & light fittings externally.

Bin Stores checked and cleared / rotation of bins as required, cardboard put into bins etc.

Change light bulbs in lifts and wall lights.
-
Assist Remus with weekly fire alarm tests and monthly light flick tests.

Accept deliveries.

Water trees and plants on whole estate if needed.

Report any want of repair to Remus.

Open Service cupboards for Utility Companies ETC.

Attend to minor repairs

Test all gates and service locks/oil.

Deliver mailshots or leaflets as required.

Water any internal plants.

Inspect all communal areas of the development.

Any other jobs that a caretaker would be reasonably be expected to carry out as directed from Remus office.
Essential Skills:

High level of customer service. High standards of professionalism are required when dealing with residents, contractors, and visitors.

Good telephone manner and customer service skills.

High attention to detail and a pride in their work.

Must be organised and willing be able to prioritise.

A flexible, adaptable, and organised approach to work, exercising initiative and working independently as appropriate.

Ability to learn quickly and a team player.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Excellent record keeping skills, both electronically and for hard copies.
