Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse & Delivery Operative to join our team. This role involves a combination of warehouse duties and delivery responsibilities, requiring excellent organisational skills and a focus on safety. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring timely deliveries and efficient warehouse operations, contributing to the overall success of our logistics team.
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading goods within the warehouse using appropriate equipment
- Preparing orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Safely operating delivery vehicles to transport goods to various locations
- Conducting routine vehicle inspections and reporting any issues
- Ensuring all deliveries are made in accordance with schedules and customer requirements
- Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and stock movements
- Assisting with stock organisation and inventory management within the warehouse
- Communicating effectively with team members and customers to coordinate deliveries
Requirements
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in warehouse operations is preferred
- Valid UK Manual driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving and handling heavy loads is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Organised with good time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities
