On-Street Sales Team Member – Golden Tours York
Golden Tours York is looking for an enthusiastic, confident and customer-focused Sales Team Member to join our fantastic team in the heart of York!
Our friendly sales team can be found at busy locations across the city, helping visitors make the most of their time in York. We're looking for energetic, outgoing people who love meeting new people and are ready to help take our open-top bus tours to the next level.
The Role
As an On-Street Sales Team Member, you'll be one of the friendly faces representing Golden Tours across York city centre. From welcoming visitors from around the world to helping them plan their perfect day in the city, you'll play an important role in creating a fantastic customer experience.
You'll confidently engage with customers, promote our open-top sightseeing tours and help visitors choose the best ticket for their plans.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Selling Golden Tours open-top bus tickets and experiences to visitors.
- Confidently approaching and engaging with potential customers.
- Providing a friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable customer experience.
- Answering questions about our tours, York and the local area.
- Helping customers choose the right ticket or experience for their visit.
- Representing the Golden Tours brand in a professional and positive way.
- Working towards individual and team sales targets.
- Working closely with the wider sales team in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with plenty of personality, energy and confidence! You'll enjoy talking to people and won't be afraid to strike up a conversation with visitors from all over the world.
You'll ideally be:
- Confident, outgoing and comfortable approaching new people.
- Friendly, approachable and an excellent communicator.
- Energetic and enthusiastic, with a positive attitude.
- Passionate about sales, tourism and delivering brilliant customer service.
- Comfortable working outdoors in a busy city-centre environment.
- Motivated by achieving targets and delivering great results.
- Reliable, proactive and able to work well as part of a team.
- Keen to learn about York and our fantastic sightseeing experiences.
Previous experience in sales, tourism or customer service is helpful, but personality, confidence and enthusiasm are what matter most to us. If you're a natural people person with a positive attitude and a passion for delivering great experiences, we'd love to hear from you.
