We are now looking for an exceptional Registered Children's Home Manager to join our growing community in the Nottingham area.
The Role
As Registered Children's Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, management, quality and regulatory compliance of a children's residential home.
You will create a nurturing, safe and therapeutic environment where children and young people can thrive, ensuring that care is individualised, relationship-led and aligned with Nurture Care's values and approach.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing strong, visible leadership and creating a positive, child-centred culture.
- Leading, developing and supporting the staff team through supervision, coaching and performance management.
- Ensuring care is delivered in line with individual care plans, safeguarding requirements and statutory regulations.
- Maintaining strong knowledge and oversight of Ofsted requirements and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinating admissions, placements and transitions to ensure children experience safe and well-planned moves.
- Working collaboratively with local authorities, social workers, education providers, families and other external professionals.
- Maintaining accurate records, care documentation, reports and regulatory information.
- Managing budgets and resources effectively.
- Monitoring quality, performance and outcomes across the home.
- Preparing for and leading inspections, audits and regulatory activity.
- Identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective improvement plans.
- Promoting therapeutic, trauma-informed and positive approaches to behaviour and care.

We are looking for a confident and compassionate leader who can combine warmth with accountability and operational excellence with genuine care.
You will ideally have:
Proven experience managing, or deputising within, a children's residential setting.
- Strong leadership, team management, supervision and staff development skills.
- Sound knowledge of children's social care legislation, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.
- Experience of care planning, risk assessment and behaviour support.
- Knowledge or experience of therapeutic or trauma-informed approaches.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work effectively with children, families, professionals and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong report-writing, record-keeping and digital administration skills.
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, equivalent qualification, or willingness to work towards this.
- A commitment to continuous professional development, coaching and learning.
- Resilience, emotional intelligence and sound judgement when managing complex situations.
