Summary
As Digital Commerce Assistant at Chards, you will support the day-to-day running of our ecommerce website, ensuring products, pricing, content and product information are accurate, up to date and optimised for customers.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in ecommerce, digital commerce and online retail. Working closely with the Ecommerce & Marketing team, you will support product launches, website updates, product merchandising activities and ecommerce administration while gaining hands-on experience across digital trading, website management and online customer experience.
You will play a key role in ensuring our website remains accurate, well-organised and commercially effective, helping customers easily find and purchase products across our range of gold, silver, platinum and collectible coins.
A genuine interest in coins, bullion, economics, or financial markets is essential to be successful in this role.
What You’ll Do
Ecommerce & Website Management
- Create and maintain products on the website.
- Upload products, images and supporting content.
- Maintain product information, specifications and pricing.
- Ensure website content remains accurate and up to date.
- Support website housekeeping and category management.
Product & Launch Support
- Support new product launches and product updates.
- Ensure products are correctly categorised and merchandised.
- Assist with website content updates to support campaigns and promotions.
- Help maintain launch schedules and product readiness.
- Support the wider team with ecommerce administration.
Product Data & Quality Assurance
- Conduct quality assurance checks across product pages and website content.
- Monitor website accuracy and identify issues.
- Maintain data quality and consistency across the website.
- Escalate website, content or product issues where required.
- Ensure customers receive a professional and accurate online experience.
Ecommerce Operations
- Support trading and merchandising activities.
- Assist with product performance reporting and data collection.
- Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities.
- Support website optimisation and continuous improvement projects.
- Work collaboratively across Ecommerce, Purchasing, Marketing and Creative teams.
Learning & Development
- Gain exposure to ecommerce trading, merchandising and digital marketing.
- Develop understanding of customer behaviour and website performance.
- Learn ecommerce best practice and digital retail principles.
- Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve customer experience and website performance.
What We’re Looking For
- Interest in ecommerce, digital commerce, online retail or digital marketing.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working with data and product information.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Experience using CMS or ecommerce platforms is desirable but not essential.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work collaboratively across different departments.
- A genuine interest in coins, bullion, economics or financial markets.
- This role is fully onsite and requires a hands-on presence in Blackpool.
