About the Role
We're looking for experienced and enthusiastic Baristas to join our café team at Imagine That! Wigan. You'll be responsible for preparing high-quality drinks, serving and preparing food, and delivering excellent customer service to the families who visit us. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee, committed to maintaining high standards of food safety, and eager to contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
This is a fast-paced role, so we're looking for someone who is confident working under pressure, takes pride in their work, and enjoys creating a positive experience for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and serving a range of coffees, teas, and cold drinks to a high standard
- Taking customer orders and processing payments
- Preparing and serving food in line with food safety procedures (sandwiches, toasties, paninis etc.)
- Operating café equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Monitoring stock levels and restocking as required
- Providing friendly, professional customer service at all times
- Following all food safety, allergen, health and safety procedures
Essential Requirements
- Previous barista experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
- A positive, reliable and hardworking attitude
- Ability to work weekends, school holidays and peak visitor periods
- Knowledge of food safety standards
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
- Allergen Awareness Training
- Experience using Merrychef ovens
- Previous experience working in a busy café, coffee shop, visitor attraction or hospitality environment
- Experience preparing and serving food
