Job description: HGV Class 1 Driver
About the role
We are an independent, family-owned and run business in Middleton looking for a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our general haulage team following the retirement of our long-standing driver.
Working pattern
This role involves full- load and multi- drop UK deliveries across the UK, working Monday to Friday and requires 2-3 nights away each week with some early starts.
Pay and expenses
The position is paid as a weekly salary, with additional paid meal and overnight expenses.
Key responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting the safe and efficient transportation of goods safely and efficiently, meeting delivery schedules across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
Experience required
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver who takes pride in their job and looks to utilise their skills in reliable, professional work and would like to join a dynamic, and supportive team. A minimum of 2 years’ experience is required for insurance purposes, and a clean licence is preferable.
