Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bank Chef to oversee the preparation and presentation of high-quality food within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary expertise, leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves supervising kitchen operations, managing food production, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Duties
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Oversee daily food production, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation
- Develop and update menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes
- Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and allergen control measures
- Coordinate with Care teams to ensure smooth service delivery
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage stock control
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Assist in the organisation of special events or banquets as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques
- Strong team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively
- Previous experience working in a hospitality or restaurant setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in a commercial kitchen
- Experience in menu development, culinary innovation, and restaurant operations is advantageous
- Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service principles within a culinary context
