We wish to contract a GDC Registered Therapist for a busy 5 surgery dental practice in Low Fell Gateshead.
A minimum of 37.5 hours a week to work in an NHS/Private Dental Practice
To carry out Exams, S&P, Cons, Perio under NHS Direct Access - All treatment within the Therapists Scope of Practice. To refer for RCT, XLA and Lab related work to Dentists at the practice and to also carry out work under prescription from the Dentist.
Private work is split 50/50
You will have the support of a Dental Nurse
The current rate for a Self-Employed Dental Therapist is £30 per hour -we pay by UDA's achieved up to £10 net on a sliding scale. - Most Dental Therapists should achieve 4-6 UDA's per hour e.g. £40-£60 per hour.
Must be already GDC Registered as a Dental Therapist & must already reside in the UK
If no settled worker wants this position then Sponsorship is available for an employed Dental Therapist - they must have an average IELTS score of at least 7 within the last 2 years to meet NHS Regulations. They will be paid LESS than £10 Net per UDA' - the difference to cover paid holidays ( 6 Weeks) and paid Bank Holidays. To earn not less than £41,700 per year including Holiday/Bank Holiday pay - may earn up to a maximum of £73,500 depending on UDA's Achieved.
The Practice uses SFD software, online portal bookings, tablets in each surgery for treatment planning with patients, Fibreoptics, Established Practice Plan List from Dentists for Hygiene and Therapy appointments

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' dental health, utilizing knowledge of anatomy to inform treatment plans and take radiographs
- Provide preventive care, and restorations to children and adults including cleanings and fluoride treatments, while educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and extractions of primary teeth.
- Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with GDC regulations and standards.
