Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Workers to provide high-quality in-home care to clients in their own residences. This role involves supporting individuals with a range of needs, including elderly care, dementia, Alzheimer's, and other health conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others through personalised care and assistance. Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care is highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support clients with medication administration following prescribed protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering independence and dignity
- Manage behaviour effectively, especially in clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
- Support clients with mobility and transfer using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring safety at all times
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition promptly
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures when necessary
Skills
- Experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care settings
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for mobility support or equipment handling
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on compassion and patience
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients and their families effectively
- Ability to administer medication accurately following instructions
- First aid certification is advantageous but not essential; training can be provided if needed
- Valid driving licence for transporting clients safely to appointments or activities
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently whilst maintaining attention to detail

Pay: £12.71 per hour
