Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our friendly team on a Saturday within our specialist led practice. The work is highly varied and includes specialist Periodontal, Implant, Prosthodontic and Surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality dental services. This position requires a blend of clinical skills, effective communication, and strong organisational abilities to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow within the practice. Historically qualified dental nurses who are undertaking their Therapy training at University have used this as a development opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist/ Hygiene Therapist during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use.
- Provide excellent patient care by ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns or questions patients may have.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
- Manage appointment scheduling, and taking payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dental surgery, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure a cohesive working environment.
- Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Nurse
- Dental Nursing qualification NEBDN or City and Gulids Level 3 Dental nursing Diploma with GDC registration on the Dental Nurse list.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Familiarity with IT systems related to dental practice management is beneficial - training will be provided.

Pay: £16.00 per hour
