We're looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys leading from the front, keeping a busy clinical environment running smoothly and supporting colleagues to deliver outstanding patient care.
Whether you're already working as a Deputy Head Nurse or have experience coordinating a busy clinical floor or nursing team within a referral or emergency and critical care environment, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday, 8.5-hour shifts), with participation in the weekend and night rota. Working alongside our Head Veterinary Nurse, you'll help coordinate the day-to-day running of the nursing team, ensuring the practice runs smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Whether you're already working as a Deputy Head Nurse or currently coordinating a busy clinical floor, this role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your leadership skills within a supportive and experienced team. - Help organise workflow, prioritise workload and ensure the smooth running of a busy hospital environment.
- Support the development of the nursing team through coaching, mentoring and sharing your knowledge.
- Deputise for the Head Veterinary Nurse when required and contribute to the ongoing development of nursing protocols and standards.
What We're Looking For
- Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with strong clinical experience in a busy practice environment.
- Experience within a referral or emergency and critical care setting would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and coordinate a busy clinical floor.
- A positive, approachable leader who enjoys supporting and developing colleagues.
- Confident making decisions, solving problems and maintaining high clinical standards under pressure.
- Previous leadership or management experience is welcomed but not essential. We're equally interested in experienced RVNs with the ambition and aptitude to develop into the role.
