Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Small Tools/Plant Fitter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and assembling a wide range of small tools and plant equipment essential to our operations. Your expertise will ensure that all machinery and tools operate efficiently, safely, and reliably, supporting the seamless execution of our projects. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on small tools and plant equipment including generators, power tools, and hand tools
- Read and interpret schematics, and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot issues effectively
- Conduct electrical repairs and ensure all equipment complies with safety standards through proper wiring and electrical testing
- Use hand tools, power tools, to repair or assemble machinery components
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical work, and mechanical repairs within a plant or workshop environment would be advantageous
- Strong knowledge of schematics, electrical systems, and mechanical assembly processes
- Proficiency in using hand tools, and power tools, safely and effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during maintenance tasks
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on teamwork and communication across departments
- Relevant certifications in electrical work or plant machinery operation are preferred but not mandatory
- A proactive attitude with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Full UK Driving Licence

Pay: £17.00-£22.00 per hour
