About the Role
Humly is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teachers, Cover Supervisors, Graduates, Students and Sports Coaches to work in secondary schools across Basingstoke and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to enter a career in teaching, experienced teachers or anyone with strong communication skills and a professional approach who wants flexible work in an educational setting.
You’ll deliver lessons provided by the class teacher, manage behaviour and support students’ learning. No lesson planning or marking is required, and all resources will be provided (unless otherwise advised)
Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons to pupils aged 11–16 in the absence of the class teacher
- Follow school policies for supervising work and behaviour management
- Maintain a constructive and positive classroom environment
- Respond to pupil questions on lesson processes and procedures
- Manage any immediate classroom issues or emergencies in line with school policy
- Collect completed work and return it to the appropriate teacher
- Provide feedback to staff on pupil behaviour and engagement during lessons

Requirements
- Minimum of 3 months’ experience in childcare, sports coaching, youth work, class presentation, tutoring, or similar within the last 2 years
- Confident communicating with pupils aged 11–16
- Strong classroom behaviour management skills
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Commitment to pupil participation and development
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and staff
