Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Healthcare Assistant / Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will support pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care, managing medication supplies, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. Duties
- Assist pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and label medication orders in accordance with legal and safety standards
- Support medication administration processes, including patient counselling where appropriate
- Maintain organised stock levels, including ordering and stock rotation
- Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on over-the-counter products
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, health and safety policies, and confidentiality protocols
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, record keeping, and processing prescriptions
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within the pharmacy
Skills
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or similar role is highly desirable but not necessary. We are more than happy to train someone willing to learn
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
- Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate approach with a focus on patient care and confidentiality
- Basic IT skills for managing electronic records and prescription systems
