We are looking for a passionate and ambitious Sous Chef to join our kitchen leadership team and play a key role in shaping the future of our restaurant.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a strong understanding of modern cooking techniques and contemporary cuisine.
- Possesses excellent product knowledge and a genuine appreciation for high-quality ingredients.
- Has previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef or Sous Chef in a Fine Dining or High-End restaurant.
- Maintains exceptional standards of quality, consistency, and attention to detail.
- Is passionate about food and committed to continuous learning and professional development.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance kitchen environment.
- Is disciplined, organised, and takes pride in their work.
- Enjoys solving problems and remains calm under pressure.
- Has proven experience leading, motivating, and developing kitchen teams.
- Can train and mentor junior chefs while maintaining a positive kitchen culture.
- Has a solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
- Understands stock control, ordering, food cost management, and waste reduction.
- Leads by example during service and supports the Executive Chef in delivering operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing the day-to-day kitchen operation.
- Ensure consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
- Supervise, motivate, and develop the kitchen brigade.
- Support menu development and the implementation of new dishes and procedures.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety.
- Assist with stock management, ordering, food costing, and waste control.
- Take full responsibility for kitchen operations in the Executive Chef's absence.
