Job Summary
Aspire Care is opening a new office in Caerphilly, and we're building our community care team with experienced, dependable carers who take real pride in their work. We're seeking a Complex Care Assistant to provide personalised care and support to individuals with complex health needs, ensuring their comfort, safety and wellbeing. As a nurse-led provider, we deliver high-quality care in people's own homes across South Wales and the South-West of England, working closely with detailed care plans and our clinical team. This is a genuine opportunity to make a meaningful difference and to grow with us as we establish our team from the ground up.
Duties
- Deliver personalised care in line with individual care plans, including support with daily activities such as bathing, dressing and mobility.
- Safely administer and support clients with medication.
- Support clients with a range of care and clinical needs.
- Assist with meal preparation and nutritional requirements, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, observations and any changes in a client's condition.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
- Drive between clients' homes to provide consistent support across the local area.
- Promote independence whilst respecting each client's dignity and preferences.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to keep clients and staff safe.
Requirements
- Previous care experience (essential).
- Confident and competent in medication administration.
- Complex care experience required.
- Full driving licence, access to your own vehicle, and able to commute reliably across the local area (essential).
- Good understanding of care plans and the ability to adapt support accordingly.
- Proficiency in English, written and spoken.
- Basic IT skills for accurate record-keeping and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills - empathy, patience and professionalism with clients and colleagues.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- A compassionate, professional attitude and a genuine commitment to good care.
Pay
- Day shifts & waking nights: £15–£18 per hour
- Sleep-in on call shifts: paid at a separate sleep-in rate
- Double pay on public holidays
Hours
Full-time, part-time and flexible shifts available - plenty of hours for those who want them, built around your availability.
Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
