Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in a variety of programming languages and frameworks, with a strong focus on application development, API integration, and cloud-based solutions. Responsibilities
- Lead the development and optimisation of software applications across multiple platforms, ensuring robustness and scalability.
- Design, implement, and maintain APIs to facilitate seamless integration between systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and translate them into efficient code solutions.
- Develop front-end components using JavaScript and front-end development best practices to enhance user experience.
- Utilise version control tools such as GitHub, SVN, and Git for source code management and collaboration.
- Write clean, well-documented code in languages including Java, C#, C++, Python, Ruby on Rails, VBA, and C.
- Manage database interactions with SQL and MySQL, optimising queries for performance.
- Deploy and manage applications within cloud environments such as AWS and Azure, ensuring security and reliability.
- Conduct code reviews, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to maintain high standards of software quality.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions that improve system performance.
Experience
- Proven software development experience with a strong portfolio of application projects across diverse programming languages.
- Extensive knowledge of front-end development frameworks and tools including JavaScript frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems such as GitHub, SVN, and Git.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure for deploying scalable applications.
- Proficiency in working with APIs (RESTful services) and integrating third-party services into existing systems.
- Strong understanding of database management systems including SQL Server, MySQL, or similar platforms.
- Experience working within Linux environments is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team setting while managing multiple priorities effectively.

Pay: £45,000.00-£100,000.00 per year
