Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bartender/Barista to join our vibrant team. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, providing excellent customer service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, good organisational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in barista or serving roles is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the food and beverage industry.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, cocktails, and soft drinks
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the barista station and service area
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards at all times
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using the till system
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner to enhance their experience
- Assist with food preparation when required, including simple snack or light meal assembly
- Manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining high standards of service
Experience
- Previous barista experience or background in serving food and beverages is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety regulations is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients accurately
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service delivery
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
