Your Role and Team
As an HR Advisor in the Partnering Team, you will be responsible for providing expert, professional advice to managers and employees across all aspects of employment including performance, employee relations, absence management and policy interpretation. The team strive to deliver excellent results for the organisation and are driven to provide exceptional customer service, working with a wide range of stakeholders including managers, employees and trade union colleagues.
Working alongside HR Partners you will be part of a team of professionals, acting as a sounding board and a point of check and challenge. As part of the wider People & Culture team, you will also work closely with colleagues within learning and development and health, safety and wellbeing.
The role is based within a complex, fast-paced environment, which works quickly and effectively to deliver the high levels of service needed to support the organisation, particularly in a period of rapid change. The successful applicant will be able to manage a complex and varied workload with tight deadlines, as well as having an eye for detail.
In this role you will provide support to a wide range of services across the organisation with differing needs and priorities, this requires a high degree of adaptability and flexibility in the role. The successful applicant will benefit from gaining experience working in a local government environment which brings unique challenges and opportunities.

About You
Adept at working in a fast-paced environment, you will be confident in processing factual information and making informed decisions based on what you have ascertained. You will be able to forge great working relationships which can aid in times when handling of situations or conversations may be challenging.
As an HR Advisor, you will be responsible for providing excellent verbal and written communication to managers and employees across the organisation. You will have the ability to influence, motivate, and engage in a variety of ways.
You will have an HR background with developed employee relations skills and experience in dealing with complex cases.
You will be a self-starter who is flexible and adaptable to change, able to work with ambiguity and be resilient to a demanding environment.

This role is a blended working role (the duties of the role may require a blend of home & office working in line with needs of the service)
