This opportunity would suit an experienced engineer who is confident working independently, managing their own workload and delivering a professional service when attending customers' properties.
About the Role
As a subcontract Gas Engineer, you will attend a variety of domestic and light commercial properties across Hampshire, carrying out servicing, maintenance, repairs, fault finding and installations.
You will be representing our client when attending jobs, so a professional approach, strong technical ability and excellent customer service are essential.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on domestic boilers and heating systems
- Diagnose boiler and heating system faults and complete repairs efficiently
- Carry out annual boiler servicing and landlord gas safety checks
- Attend planned and reactive maintenance jobs
- Install and maintain heating systems and associated components where required
- Identify additional works and replacement parts required
- Complete Gas Safe certificates, job sheets and relevant documentation accurately
- Ensure all work complies with current Gas Safe regulations, industry standards and health & safety requirements
- Maintain a clean, tidy and professional working environment at customer properties
- Manage your allocated workload and travel efficiently between jobs across Hampshire
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Current Gas Safe Registration
- Valid CCN1 – Core Domestic Gas Safety qualification
- Relevant domestic gas appliance qualifications
- Strong experience in boiler servicing, repairs, maintenance and fault finding
- Ability to diagnose and resolve faults independently
- Ability to manage your own workload and work with minimal supervision
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Professional and respectful approach when working in customers' homes
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Own tools and van
Desirable
- F-Gas qualification would be a strong advantage
