Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Tyre Fitter / Wheel Aligner to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for fitting new tyres, repairing existing tyres, and performing precise wheel alignments to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety.
Your mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and customer service skills will be essential in delivering high-quality service to our valued customers. Candidates must be flexible and available to work some weekends as required.

Duties
- Remove and replace tyres efficiently using hand tools and power tools, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Conduct wheel alignments with precision, utilizing specialized equipment to optimize vehicle handling and tyre longevity.
- Inspect tyres for damage, wear patterns, and other issues; recommend repairs or replacements as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on wheel alignment equipment and other shop tools to maintain operational readiness.
- Assist customers by explaining repair procedures, providing recommendations, and ensuring a positive service experience.
- Lift heavy tyres and wheels safely, adhering to proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working with hand tools and power tools in an automotive setting.
- Physical ability to lift heavy tyres and wheels regularly throughout the shift.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Knowledge of tyre fitting procedures, wheel alignment techniques, and vehicle maintenance standards.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a busy workshop environment.
- Prior experience with maintenance of shop equipment is a plus but not mandatory.
