We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Machine Operator to join our day-shift team. This hands-on role involves operating packing machinery, ensuring high-quality production standards, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
The ideal candidate should have prior experience in feed, food or agricultural production, a working knowledge of bagging and packaging equipment, and an understanding of feed safety standards and recognised industry accreditations.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate and monitor feed production machinery and bagging lines.
· Assist with the mixing, processing, and packaging of animal feed products.
· Maintain strict feed safety standards, ensuring all products meet required quality and safety regulations.
· Ensure compliance with recognised industry accreditations, policies, and procedures.
· Carry out routine quality checks to ensure products meet required standards.
· Maintain accurate records of production data and materials used.
· Ensure the working area is kept clean, safe, and compliant with company and health & safety standards.
· Perform basic maintenance and report any equipment faults promptly.
· Work collaboratively with other team members to meet daily production targets.
Skills & Experience
· Previous experience in animal feed production, food manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment.
· Knowledge or experience with bagging machinery (automatic or manual systems) is highly desirable.
· Counter-Balance FLT qualification or experience essential
· Candidates must be physically fit due to manual handling demands of the role.
· Understanding of feed safety regulations and recognised industry accreditations.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
· Basic mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
· Good communication and organisational skills.
