Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy and conscientious Motor Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / Fitter to join our team at T-vans.
The role would suit someone with good practical mechanical skills who enjoys servicing, mechanical repairs and preparing vehicles to a high standard.
The main focus of the role will be:
- Pre-Sale Inspection (PSI) checks
- Vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
- MOT preparation and repairs
- General mechanical repairs
- Brakes, suspension, steering and other component replacement
- Vehicle preparation and cleaning
Previous diagnostic or auto-electrical experience is not essential. The main requirement is good practical mechanical ability and a willingness to learn.
There will also be the opportunity to develop diagnostic and electrical skills for someone who is interested in expanding their knowledge and experience.
Requirements
- Good basic mechanical knowledge and practical skills
- Own tools
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable and punctual
- Trustworthy with a good work ethic
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Takes pride in producing work to a high standard
- Willing to learn and develop
This could be an ideal opportunity for an experienced mechanic looking to broaden their skills, or someone with a good mechanical foundation who wants to gain more experience in servicing, PSI/PDI inspections and commercial vehicle preparation, with the option to develop their diagnostic skills over time.
Pay: £26,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
