Clement Mind is looking for a Neurodevelopmental Assessor to join our growing Autism and ADHD Diagnostic Service in Cambridge.
This is a part-time role (2 days a week initially, growing to full time) for a clinician who already has training and practical experience in administering the ADOS-2and would like to further develop their expertise in autism and ADHD assessment.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to comprehensive diagnostic assessments for both adults and children and young people. Depending on your training and experience, you may also undertake developmental interviews using the ADI-R and ADHD assessments using the DIVA-5.
The role offers an opportunity to develop specialist experience in neurodevelopmental assessment while working under the clinical supervision and governance of experienced psychologists.
What you will be doing
As a Neurodevelopmental Assessor, you will:
- Undertake ADOS-2 assessments with children, young people and/or adults as part of comprehensive autism diagnostic assessments.
- Score and interpret ADOS-2 assessments accurately and contribute findings to the wider diagnostic formulation.
- Where appropriately trained, undertake ADI-R developmental interviews with parents, carers or family members.
- Where appropriately trained, undertake DIVA-5 assessments as part of adult ADHD diagnostic assessments.
- Gather and integrate information from clinical interviews, developmental histories, questionnaires, rating scales, behavioural observations and collateral information.
- Produce clear, structured clinical documentation and contribute to comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessment reports.
- Present assessment findings and contribute to multidisciplinary diagnostic discussions.
- Maintain accurate clinical records.
- Attend regular clinical supervision and MDT meetings.
- Participate in relevant CPD, service development, audit and quality-improvement activities.
What you need to have

- Formal training and accreditation in the administration and scoring of the ADOS-2 and ADI-R.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience using the ADOS-2 and ADI-R.
- Highly desirable: experience using the DIVA-5 assessment.
- Strong clinical observation and information-gathering skills.
- Good written communication skills and the ability to produce clear and accurate clinical documentation and reports.
- Current DBS in place active on the Update Service
- Experience of assessing both children and adults
- HCPC, SWE, NMC or GMC registration in:
- --- Occupational Therapy
- --- Speech & Language Therapy
- --- Registered Social Worker
- --- Nurses (Mental Health, Child, Adult or Learning Disability)
- --- Other relevant health or social care professions
