Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Snr Sous Chef to join our culinary team at our flagship Mezcal Fort restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with the ability to lead and inspire a team. As a Snr Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Your culinary expertise will contribute to creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Area Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and enhance existing offerings.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and best practices.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Maintain high standards of hospitality by ensuring timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Participate in menu planning and cost control initiatives to optimise kitchen efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary trends.
