Working with the tuberculosis nursing team, you’ll support people through treatment, screening and follow-up so that they receive safe, effective care and the best possible health outcomes.
You’ll be part of a supportive service helping people with active tuberculosis, latent infection and those requiring screening or contact tracing. This role is important in promoting health, preventing infection and helping people stay engaged with treatment. You’ll work closely with registered nurses, patients, families and partner organisations to deliver person-centred care and support across a range of settings.
What you’ll do:
Support patients to understand and follow their treatment and care plans
Monitor wellbeing, carry out agreed clinical tasks and escalate concerns when needed
Help with screening, contact tracing, clinic preparation and follow-up appointments
Provide health promotion and infection prevention advice within agreed guidance
Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to service improvement activities
What we’re looking for:
Registered Nursing Associate on the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) register
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships
Experience working within a healthcare or community service team
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload
A commitment to safe, compassionate care and ongoing learning and development
