We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in busy restaurant environments. As a Grill Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking grilled dishes to high standards, ensuring excellent food safety and presentation. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to recipes and customer preferences
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding work areas
- Assist with meal preparation, including marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal quality and safety
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to deliver efficient service during busy periods
- Assist in the development of new menu items centred around grilled cuisine
- Serve dishes promptly and professionally to customers or front-of-house staff as required
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a chef within a restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Experience with meal preparation and culinary techniques specific to grilling
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Previous experience working in a busy kitchen or restaurant setting is highly desirable
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service
