Must be flexible to work a two shift rotating pattern as well as overtime when required.
Overview
The Warehouse Operator provides consistent, accurate and prompt warehousing functions as per training, whether it is receiving, picking, packing, dispatch, quality inspection of parts and components, re-working parts, sequencing, palletising crate assembly. They will also book items onto a computerised stock control system, palletising, or decanting and loading of part boxes and stillages.
The function that the Operator will be tasked with will be dependent on the needs of the business, hence the Operator will be expected to be flexible with regard to the specific role and location.
Summary of main tasks
- To take care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions at work.
- To wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with local rules.
- To carry out routine shift checks on essential equipment, e.g. RDT, FLT, ancillaries and report any concerns/defects to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
- To carry out the loading and unloading of goods as required.
- To ensure all loads are secure before movement.
- To ensure all loads are processed and checked for accuracy against appropriate documents and system information.
- To use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other IT to process customer requirements.
- To complete all necessary documentation in accordance with current requirements to ensure traceability of product.
- To operate equipment in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, company processes, site rules and in line with health and safety regulations.
- To support GK, 5S and other improvement activities.
- Any other duties as covered by your contract of employment.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of working within a warehouse environment.
- An understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Experience using a counterbalance forklift.
- Aware of manual handling techniques.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION:
- Material Handling Equipment (MHE) licence.
EXPERIENCE:
- Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
- FLT Licence (required)
