Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Personal Assistant to support the daily needs and well-being of a young individual. This vital role involves providing personalized care, assisting with daily routines, and ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. Duties
- Assist with daily activities such as dressing, feeding, and personal hygiene to promote independence and comfort
- Support the child in attending school, appointments, and recreational activities, including driving when necessary
- Develop and follow tailored care plans to meet the child's individual needs and routines
- Provide engaging companionship through play, educational activities, and social interactions
- Communicate effectively with family members, teachers, healthcare professionals, and other caregivers to ensure cohesive support
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, including progress notes and updates on the child's development
- Ensure a safe environment at all times by adhering to health and safety protocols in home care or care home settings
Qualifications
- Valid driving license with experience in safe driving practices
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is highly desirable
- Knowledge of creating and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in IT tools for record keeping, scheduling, and communication purposes
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with children and families
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs and demonstrate patience, empathy, and professionalism
