As a Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting our residents to live fulfilling and meaningful lives. Whether assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, or simply spending time listening and providing reassurance, your work will make a real difference every day.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide personal care support, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and maintaining dignity at all times.
- Support residents with mobility and daily activities, encouraging independence and choice wherever possible.
- Administer medication safely and accurately in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist with meals, hydration, and feeding support where required.
- Help maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members to ensure consistent and person-centred care.
- Accurately document care provided and promptly report any changes or concerns regarding residents’ wellbeing.
- Encourage residents to participate in activities, hobbies, and social events to enhance their quality of life and emotional wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and supportive atmosphere within the home.
Working Hours
We offer a variety of flexible shifts to support both our residents and our team members. Available shift patterns include:
- 8:00am – 8:00pm
- 8:00am – 2:00pm
- 2:00pm – 8:00pm
Applicants should be able to work flexibly, including alternate weekends where required.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience within a care home setting is desirable.
- Good spoken and written English to communicate effectively with residents, relatives, and colleagues.
- Basic IT skills to complete electronic care records and documentation using our PCS system.
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, kindness, and professionalism.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
- A genuine passion for caring for vulnerable individuals and improving their quality of life.
- A valid driving licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
