Asset Surveyor
Freeland Drive, Glasgow based with a balance of home, site and office working
£38,426 - £40,436 per year plus company car or car buyout
35 hours per week
We have an opportunity for an Asset Surveyor to join our Asset Delivery team, based in Glasgow. You will be working within a team of 7 and the role will include a mix of office, home and site working.
The role of Asset Surveyor will include:
- Undertaking stock condition surveys and other property inspections in line with organisational policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and contract performance
- Identify asset improvements in line with business plans, ensuring that strategies and plans are developed and high-quality services are delivered
- Assist in developing and managing cyclical and capital work programmes in line with SHQS and EESSH requirements in accordance with the companies financial policies and procedures
- Managing identified projects from conception through delivery to project handover
- Providing detailed reports that include project specification and estimated costs to aid decision making for future capital works programmes
- Coordinating and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring they are kept informed of progress by providing clear and precise updates
- An opportunity to train to become a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) to complete Energy Performance Certificate for Sanctuary Properties as part of an internally delivered service (upon successful completion of probation period)
Skills and experiences:
- To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to HND or HNC in Surveying or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted. If you have a lower level qualification along with practical experience and would be prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group, we would still welcome an application.
- Proven experience in working with others to deliver property related works, including indirect reports and third-party suppliers
- Experience of working within a building, surveying and maintenance environment
- Working knowledge of SHQS, EESSH and awareness of future Scottish Government legislation such as SHNZS, and best practice
- Proficient user of Microsoft packages
- Ability to extract and interpret computerised information
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
