About Emerald Solar
Emerald Solar is looking for a creative and ambitious Social Media Creator to join our growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent university graduate looking to build a career in social media, content creation and digital marketing.
We’re looking for someone who doesn't just understand social media but lives and breathes it — someone who can create engaging content, understand what performs across different platforms and help us grow Emerald Solar's online presence.
The Role
You will take responsibility for creating and managing content across our key social media platforms:
- Instagram
- TikTok
- Facebook
- LinkedIn
- YouTube
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating engaging, original and creative social media content.
- Planning and managing a social media content calendar.
- Creating videos, reels, TikToks, graphics and other digital content.
- Managing and regularly posting across all Emerald Solar social media accounts.
- Understanding the differences between each platform and creating content specifically for each audience.
- Monitoring engagement, reach, views and follower growth.
- Identifying trends and finding ways to use them creatively for Emerald Solar.
- Testing different types of content to understand what works best.
- Responding to comments and engaging with our online audience.
- Working closely with the wider team to develop content ideas.
- Helping to grow our online audience and increase brand awareness.
- Keeping up to date with the latest social media trends, features and algorithms.
What We're Looking For
This is a graduate-level opportunity, so you don't need years of professional experience. However, practical experience is essential.
You could have gained this experience through university projects, internships, placements, freelance work, personal social media accounts, running a content page, a previous job or your own creative projects.
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- A recent degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Media, Communications or a related subject is desirable.
- Practical experience creating social media content.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube.
- Excellent creativity and an eye for engaging content.
- Confidence creating short-form video content.
- An understanding of social media trends and what makes content perform.
- Experience using content creation/editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- An understanding of social media analytics and engagement.
- Evidence that you have grown an audience, increased engagement or successfully promoted content.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to experiment with new ideas.
