Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team for daytime shifts. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating large freight vehicles to deliver goods efficiently and reliably. Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, including flatbed trucks, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each shift to guarantee roadworthiness and safety
- Load and unload goods with care, ensuring proper securing of cargo, especially when handling flatbed loads
- Complete accurate delivery documentation
- Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients, colleagues, and other road users at all times
- Valid HGV Class 1 license with a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving
- Excellent driving skills with the ability to handle large vehicles confidently in various conditions
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to scheduled delivery times
- Good physical fitness for loading/unloading tasks and long periods of driving
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients
