Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nights Supervisor to oversee our overnight operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent guest service skills, a strong understanding of hospitality standards, and the ability to lead a team effectively during night shifts. This role involves ensuring smooth night-time operations, maintaining high standards of service, and addressing guest needs promptly and professionally. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to cater to our diverse clientele. The Nights Supervisor will play a crucial role in upholding the organisation’s reputation for exceptional hospitality and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff working during night shifts to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Provide exceptional guest services, addressing any issues or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Monitor guest interactions, ensuring adherence to hotel policies and standards of hospitality.
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures when necessary, maintaining excellent phone etiquette at all times.
- Support staff in resolving operational challenges swiftly and effectively.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with health regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, guest feedback, and shift activities for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and operational continuity overnight.
- Ensure set ups and clear downs of meeting and event spaces and back of house areas are cleaned prompt and properly.
- Train and mentor new team members, fostering a positive work environment aligned with organisational values.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel or hospitality environments, preferably in supervisory roles.
- Strong guest service skills with a focus on delivering memorable experiences.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in phone etiquette and handling guest inquiries professionally over the phone.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, including reservation systems and safety protocols.
- Ability to lead a team effectively during night shifts while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Organised with strong problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
