Hours negotiable - we are seeking a highly organised Transport Compliance & Health & Safety Manager to oversee and ensure adherence to all transportation and employment regulations and standards. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the safety, efficiency, and legal compliance of our transport operations. Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure adherence to all transportation and employment regulations and standards
- Maintaining the safety, efficiency, and legal compliance of our transport operations
- Develop, implement and monitor compliance programmes aligned with industry regulations and company policies.
- Manage documents including licences, permits and safety records e.g. ICO/GDPR/O Licence
- Lead investigations into compliance breaches, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken
- Assisting the transport manager in supporting drivers and customers
- Procurement of tachograph data for drivers and vehicles. This includes collecting data on time, sending to appropriate organisation for analysis, printing relevant reports and assisting with technical support.
- Vehicle tracking, including monitoring and maintenance of the system.
- Have the authority to aid in dismissing and disciplining staff employed by the business. Includes liaising with legal authorities, constructing letters and organising interviews.
- Have the authority to book any vehicle repairs or maintenance including 6 weeklies and MOT
- Office administration answering emails/phone calls
- New employee starter packs/handbooks
- Keeping records/logs/documents on activities
- Ordering stationary/uniform/annual calendar/fuel cards
- Employee Holiday bookings
- Insurance relating to health and safety/compliance
- Ordering bulk diesel and vehicle parts
- Managing agency staff files
- Prepayment accounts of tolls
- Provide guidance to staff on compliance requirements and best practices in transportation safety.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, industry standards, and emerging trends in transport compliance.
Pay: £29,000.00 per year
