As part of the KIN Vet Community, we're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Head Veterinary Nurse to lead our nursing team. This is more than a Head Nurse role. You'll be a leader, mentor, Clinical Coach and an integral part of our management team, helping to shape the future of the practice while maintaining the highest standards of patient and client care.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading, supporting and inspiring our veterinary nursing team.
- Acting as a Clinical Coach, mentoring and developing our student veterinary nurses to help them flourish.
- Working closely with the Practice Manager and Veterinary Surgeons as part of the leadership team.
- Assisting with management responsibilities, including rotas, audits, stock control, clinical governance and practice administration.
- Promoting clinical excellence and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and welfare.
- Encouraging a positive, collaborative culture where every team member feels supported and valued.
- Ensuring all nursing duties are completed on time and to a high standard
- Helping to drive continuous improvement and new ideas across the practice.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- At least three years' post-qualification experience.
- Is registered with the RCVS
- Experience supporting student veterinary nurses.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for developing people.
- The confidence to balance clinical nursing with management responsibilities.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding care to patients, clients and colleagues alike.
