Priory Hospital Newbury has an opportunity for an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team.
Priory Hospital Newbury, Berkshire is a level 2 rehabilitation service supporting adult males with mental health needs, working towards community reintegration. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes nearby including services to Reading and Basingstoke, and nearby train stations providing links into London.
You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, supporting with care requirements, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
You will support the Occupational Therapist in delivering therapy programmes that promote patient's mental, emotional, physical and social wellbeing, helping them engage in meaningful activities, develop daily living skills, and achieve their individual recovery goals.

Essential for the role
- Can support OT or SOTA in initial assessments and checklists.
- Will be expected to facilitate groups (physcho educational, DBT informed, goal setting, life sills etc).
- Autism/DBT skills/Life skills training would be desirable.
- The role holder will require GCSE / O-Levels (A-C) or a relevant NVQ2 or equivalent experience.
