Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Salon Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our stylists and enhancing the overall customer experience. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills in the hair & beauty industry while providing exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Greeting clients, offering refreshments, and preparing them for their service, ensuring they are properly gowned and supported during their service.
- Assisting stylists with shampoo and conditioning treatments, and basic blow dries.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the salon and organisation of the salon.
- Assisting stylists by mixing colours, preparing foils, and basic styling tasks.
- Stock maintenance and ensuring backbar & retail displays are stocked up.
- Stays up to date on the latest techniques and trends and participates in ongoing development and training.
- Work with the team on various marketing techniques to promote themselves and the servies, including creating social media posts.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in a salon environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Not essential, but if you are willing to develop your skills in hairdressing, Grant's Hair & Wellbeing will support your apprenticeship, alongside in house training.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and techniques within the hair & beauty industry.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts as required by the salon's schedule.

Pay: £10.00-£13.85 per hour
