Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality grilled dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Oversee the entire grilling process, including marinating, seasoning, and presentation of food.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and plating ingredients as required.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs for replenishment.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service during service hours.
- Keep up-to-date with new recipes, techniques, and trends within the culinary industry.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Previous kitchen experience specialising in grilling or barbecue cuisine is highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- A genuine passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
