The role
We are seeking a motivated and technically capable Payroll Administrator within our UK HR Shared Service Centre based at the European Technical Centre, Lathom, Near Ormskirk, Lancashire.
The candidate will support specific business areas but will work flexibly as part of a team of three, providing a payroll and HR administration service to the UK operations.
The role requires sound payroll knowledge and proven experience, and it is essential applicants currently run a payroll. We are looking for someone with a flexible “can do” attitude, with a willingness to work to standard processes and suggest improvements to those processes to improve efficiency. You will also understand the needs and service quality expectations of internal customers and work consistently to meet them. In addition, you will have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels both in and outside the organisation, take responsibility for achieving objectives and targets and thrive in a team environment. SAP experience is preferable but not essential as full training will be given.
What are we looking for?

Process all monthly changes to pay related data in SAP

All actions in SAP, for example hiring, leaving, transfers, going on maternity leave, etc

Close and check payroll, utilising payroll reports

Full reconciliation of all pay elements

Carry out BACS process to create and verify payroll BACS extract

Appropriate RTI reporting
-
Communicate information to other functions as appropriate by use of interfaces and reports for Finance, Pensions, etc

As appropriate, liaise with HMRC.

Answer enquiries from employees for information

Process requests from employees to change basic information, e.g. home address

Produce ad hoc reports when requested by management.

Work in a uniformed way within the team using SOPs

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm. Flexibility exists on the working pattern with hybrid working.
